You will be seeking answers to these questions - analysing teenage stereotypes, completing an 'audit' of Melbourne Central, checking out some of Melbourne's style masters and finally - you will be creating your own radio show at SYN FM - Melbourne's youth radio station :)
Melbourne is internationally renowned for its amazing street art culture. In fact the appeal of street art is now used as a marketing tool to attract tourists to our city. On the other hand not everyone agrees with street art, some referring to it as graffitti & laws recently introduced see heavy penalties for offenders. What is the difference between street art & graffiti? On this trail we will participate in a tour of Melbourne's street art and explore some of the issues of this creative expression.
The importance of Asia
Asia is our closest continental ally and we do most of our trade there but how much do we actually know about it? What are the benefits of linking with Asia?
As part of our trail we will be going to visit RedR in North Melbourne – a company that focus on disaster relief in Asia. It promises to be a fascinating insight into the how Asia has a diverse range of rich and poor.
In the afternoon, we will visit the Confucius institute and learn about Asian business, its connection to Australia and why we are so heavily reliant on our Asian neighbor.
We definitely will discover lots about The World Around Us!
